Triolet

(Romains 8:28)

Three adorations in three places

My precious Jesus,
One day in Your house, in Your courts
Is sweeter than a thousand in other places,
One hour spend with You is more precious
Than many hours spend with others.
I prefer to be with You in the eternity
Than to live on earth for hundred years.
It is wonderful to be in Your church,
To listen to Your Words with Your children,
To seek Your presence,
To sing Your praise.
It is wonderful to be alone with You,
To open Your Book with great reverence,
To open my heart with sincerity,
To meditate on Your precious Words,
To talk with You in sweet intimacy.
It will be wonderful in the eternity
To take part in worship without ceasing,
To see You face to face,
To worship You and sing Your praise.
Grant me to take part in these three adorations;
Every week I want to praise You in Your church,
Every day I want to meet You in my room,
In the eternity I want to worship You in heaven.

Psalm 119:92

Unless Your law had been my delight,
I would then have perished in my affliction,
I could not know Your limitless love,
Unless Your law had been my delight.
The sweet melody of joy could not ring,
I would not hear Your sweet call,
Unless Your law had been my delight,
I would then have perished in my affliction.

Reading the psalm 119

Lord, while I am reading my favourite psalm,
I ask you to open my eyes,
I want to see the wonders of Your Law,
And delight in Your sweet Word.
If I delight in Your amazing statutes,
I will love Your Words with all of my heart.
And if I love them, I will meditate on Your Word all the time,
And if I meditate, I will keep Your Word in my heart,
And if I keep it, I will be able to do it also
And I will be one of the blessed people
About whom the psalmist speaks at the beginning of my favourite psalm.

Combien j’aime chanter Ta louange!
Il y a tant de choses que je ne comprends pas et j’ignore;
Mais Tu m’a fait savoir ce dont j’avais besoin;
Depuis aujourd’hui jusqu’à Ta venue
Je veux être comptable de Tes bénédictions.

Book-keeper of Your blessings

Lord, how wonderful is to be a book-keeper of Your blessings,
I want to record one by one the benefits that You granted
Not only in my notebook but in my heart too,
How I love to sing Your praise!
What a delight to give You thanks,
I want to count my blessings, not my troubles
Forget my pains, remember my many joys,
I want to remove the complains from my lips,
Because You have promised to wipe away every tear from my eyes.
I place all my problems into Your hands,
And trust their solution to You alone,
There are so many things that I do not know;
I don't understand many things that happened in the past,
Sometimes I don't know what you are doing at present,
The surprises of the futur are unknown to me,
But You have let me know what I needed to know;
I know that in Your wisdom You cannot be mistaken,
So You know what is good for me,
I know that Your love never comes to an end,
So You want to give me what is good,
I know that Your power never runs short,
So You can do in my life
What You consider good in Your wisdom
And You want grant me in Your love,
As for me I want to enumerate your benefits
And from today until Your glorious coming
I want to be a book-keeper of Your blessings!
